6 Modern ways to Drape a saree

To solve these problems,  Today I am presenting you a creative video on how to wear the same saree in different modern ways. In this Video, Komal Pandey came up with 6 modern ways to drape a floral printed chiffon saree and a sleeveless blouse. Let us go into details.

Regular Look: Saree with Open Pallu

This is a simple tradition look every girl can wear with ease. Just by draping a saree with front pleats and opened the open at the front.

Look 1: Flaunt the saree in MahaRani Style

She brought up the Maharani (Queen ) look by just carrying the contrast Red colored Dupatta with Rich Pallu attached to it to get the Royal look. Her Chocker neckpiece perfectly matching with her attire to enhance the beauty. I have already made a post on How to Dress up like a Queen, you can have a look if you are interested.

Look 2: Drape Saree as a Lehenga

Start making a small pleat and drape each pleat next to each other till it completes the full round around the waist to get a lehenga look. Better start from the right side and finish the pleats at the same point. Try to Finish the complete round at the front if you have the heavy pallu that you want to show at the front. Komal completed her Lehenga look by pairing it with matching dupatta. You can wear a Dupatta in U-Shape or Free-Fall style. I have already made a post on How to wear a  Dupatta Draping in different Styles.

Look 3:  Pair your Saree with an Over-sized shirt

Komal was wearing the Over-sized shirt on the saree and she finished her look with the heavy choker neck piece. Isn't she looking hot in this indo-western look?

As I keep mentioning in my blog, experiment with different draping style and different colors till you satisfy as long as it is comfortable for you. wear for yourself with confidence.

Look 4: Pair it with a short Over-coat

In this look, She was wearing the pallu around the neck and paired with contrast and a short coat with elbow sleeves. you can even try Leather jacket to get this ultra modern look.  You can extend this look by accessorizing with a belt. Let it be leather or Cloth belt which doubles the beauty of your outfit.

Look 5: Front Pallu with Full-Sleeves Blouse

In this Drape, She was wearing the saree as lehenga till the back and leftover pallu part is being carried to front all the way from the shoulder as a freestyle from her back. Either you can try lehenga drape or a regular front plea and bring the pallu to the front over the shoulder.  You can see how the look was transformed with full-sleeves shimmer blouse.  I have made a post on Latest full-sleeves Blouses to style your saree where you can find more ideas about pairing full-sleeves with a saree.

Look 6: Saree as Lehenga Dress

In this Modern drape, she has selected printed tank top for a blouse and she wore the petticoat over the tank top. She draped the saree as lehenga and over-sized Jacket on top of it perfectly looks like a modern lehenga dress. She completed her look with the handbag and looking chic in this attire.

Gals, What are you waiting for? just look at your wardrobe for a saree which is hiding for years and experiment with different draping styles mentioned above and different accessories to look modern with elegance.
